Tribute to Brian Brennan, 1940 - 2025

Dear Brian As the man who introduced ( press ganged?) me into rugby whilst an innocent school boy playing team football on Saturday mornings followed by a quick pint in the Cat you have much to answer for. I spent too much time at Tabard, spent to much money at Tabard and went on too many rugby/ ski tours with and without you but the late 1970s 1980s and 1990s were magical times and you were one of the most inspirational passionate and funniest people I have ever met. Despite having known you for 50 years it was only at your funeral I learnt how dimensional you were - who'd have thought you loved dogs! RIP my dear friend your performances on and off the field are legendary and you will never be forgotten.

You were a great friend Brian and had some great catch ups recently. This was a great shock! Thakfully you stopped me from giving the game up, and I hade the bets part of my reugby carrer at Tabard as a consequence. Much missed already!
